Laid in straight rows, fan patterns or traditional designs, and with spacing between each stone; they improve water drainage, reducing surface runoff.

Setts are quarried and cut to a more uniform, block-like shape. Easier to lay in precise patterns, they’re better suited to driveways, pathways, mowing edges and modern applications where a cleaner finish is required. They need a solid, well-prepared base, typically concrete or compacted hardcore, jointed with mortar or flexible grout for lasting stability. Beyond long-lasting performance, natural stone setts add genuine kerb appeal. Unlike concrete alternatives that can crack and fade, they improve with age.

We supply a wide range of stone setts, including limestone, sandstone and granite alternatives, each in a variety of colours and textures to suit both contemporary and traditional designs including sawn, flamed, riven, hand-cut and tumbled; the compact dimensions of our cobble setts make them ideal for intricate, multi-coloured patterns.
